Cat stays near Westmere.

A calm, quiet stay for cats in our cat room, away from the dogs, with their own food, their own routine and plenty of places to hide.

A quiet cat room while the family is away.

Cats stay in our cat room, a quiet space away from the dogs with shelves at different heights, covered beds, hidey holes and a sunny window to watch the garden from.

We keep their routine as close to home as we can. Their own food at their usual times, their own litter if they’re fussy, and playtime or cuddles only if they want them. Shy cats are given space to come out in their own time.

Before the first stay we talk about how they like to be handled, where they like to sleep and what helps them feel safe. Bring a blanket that smells like home. It really does help.

For the shy ones.

Plenty of cats find a new place a bit much on the first day. That’s completely normal. We give shy cats a covered bed, somewhere high to sit and lots of quiet, and let them come out when they’re ready.

Tell us what helps at home. Some cats like a gentle voice and a slow blink, others want to be left alone with their food. We’ll follow their lead, not ours.

What we’ll ask you

  1. Their food and meal times
  2. How they like to be handled, or not
  3. Their favorite places to sleep
  4. Anything that worries them, like noise or new people

  • Busy garden dogs

Tell us how much exercise they’re used to so we can match it.

  • Pack a towel

For muddy-paw days, a towel from home is always welcome.

  • Named collectors

If someone else is collecting, give us their name first.

Their little suitcase.
